Gage's First Parade

Gage's Middle School Band had the opportunity to march in the Burbank Parade yesterday. It was Gage's first Parade Performance and he was a little nervous. He looked so grown up(Mommy translation: adorable) We were so proud of him. Matt, Bryson, Collin and I had such a good time watching the Parade. Gage's school is well-known for its competition sucess and this year was no exception. Out of 10 schools, his took first place. Gage really enjoys playing Trombone and looks forward to doing it again next year. I'm thrilled. :D He'll be marching with his school again next month, May 16th, in Fillmore for those of you who'd like to watch.
Here's a little video of his performance (try to ignore the overly excited Mom):

Spring Break 2009

Easter sorta snuck up on me this year. We had a nice mellow day at church and then home for a traditional Easter Ham Dinner.

The next day was our first day of Spring Break so the boys and I headed out early for Newport Beach where we stayed with Karalee Newberry and her family for two days and a night at their Marriott Resort Villa. We had a blast getting sunburned at the beach (oops!), playing Canasta (sp?), making s'mores by the campfire, and exploring the resort grounds. Thanks for a great trip, Karalee!
Later that week, the boys and I finally visited the Gardens of the World here in T.O. and took some fun pics. On Friday, we spent the day at Leo Carillo Beach with Matt's sister, Mary-Jayne and family. It was a very nice and relaxing Spring Break.

Catching up with April 2009

The first weekend in April we took a spontaneous trip to Laughlin for Matt's Bday. We all had fun fishing, exploring, eating, and having our own private firework show!
Collin had a little Easter Egg Hunt and party at his Pre-K class. He and his cousin, Rachel looked so cute wearing the little bunny ears they made in class and singing the song they learned.
Collin sure loves his "cha toe milt". So, I found this T-shirt the other day. It's now his favorite. In case you can't read it, it says, "Conserve Water...Drink Chocolate Milk." He posed like this all on his own...tongue stickin out and all! ;)

Tea Party with Gammy

Collin and I went to visit Gammy-Su 2 days after she had surgery on her thumb. She looked like she should be hurting with her big ol' cast, but instead, was happy to see us and had her tea set out ready for a tea party. (My Mom and my FAVORITE thing to do together) YAY! Collin was also interested in sharing our tea party with the tiny tea cup and saucer Gammy had picked out for him. tee hee! Won't he be glad 8 years from now that I posted this. ;)
Here are some photos of our delicate tea party just before Collin bumped into the table and sent the smaller teapot FULL of hot CHOCOLATE flying and splashing all over Gammy's carpet! AHHHHHHH!!!!
So, much for sharing our tea party with a 4 year old BOY!
And this is what happens to little boys who don't follow proper Tea Party Etiquette! ;)

Collin kept trying to get Xander to go into his crate. Xander is totally confused. ha ha!

Way to go, Gage!

Gage entered an essay contest for the Rotary Club and won 3rd place! In his essay, he shared his Tenderfoot (1st rank in boy Scouts) interview experience. Gage was most excited about the $50 VISA card he was awarded. Some pics from that special day.

Baby Boy Davis

This last one is how our Dr. gave us the news. He typed in the words "It's a Boy" as we looked at the ultrasound monitor. We think it's funny that he appears to be holding his ear as both Bryson and Collin had a love or ears. Family trait???

BOY Oh BOY!

Looks like Baby Blake will be Davis Boy #4!
Doctor says he looks good and is developing normally and we are thrilled. Matt and I went shopping after we heard the news and bought a "going home from the hospital" outfit for Blake to wear when he makes his entrance into the world. Collin is thrilled to be having a baby brother to share his room with. His response to the news was "Can we have bunk beds, now?" hee hee Can't wait to tell Gage and Bryson after school today and I'll be sure and add their comments. We just feel so blessed and excited to get to add a special spirit into our home. Now, I'm just anxiously awaiting the "BADGE OF HONOR" that Mother's of all boys get.
Kailynne, where do you keeps yours???
